Where things stand
The last major technical milestone of the project: the arrival of an expert who traveled specially from Canada to install the pump donated by Luminor Environmental.
What happened
As the water tower kept rising, the team welcomed on site the Canadian engineer from Luminor Environmental, responsible for North America and the Middle East at the company. He traveled specially to Pihimbuwa to install the pump donated by Luminor — a key step that made the partnership with the company tangibly real, beyond the simple donation of equipment.

As a reminder, this pump is part of the full purification system donated by Luminor: a mesh filter, a 5-micron sediment filter, an activated carbon filter, and then a UV reactor at 254 nm that eliminates up to 99.99% of pathogens present in the water — without adding any chemicals. Thanks to this pump and the distribution network built by the team (trenches, water tower, storage tank), purified water can finally be carried to every household in the village.
