“Be the change you want to see in the world.”
We are a group of Première students from the Lycée Français de Barcelone, committed to a solidarity project for next summer: bringing clean drinking water to the village of Pihimbuwa, in Sri Lanka.
This project was born out of a shared desire to put our studies, our time and our energy to work for a concrete cause. Rather than remain bystanders to the world’s inequalities in access to clean water, we chose to get directly involved, building a project from the ground up: finding partners, raising funds, handling logistics, and of course traveling on site to help implement the purification system.
Five of us will travel to Sri Lanka to oversee the installation of the system and meet the community of Pihimbuwa. Meanwhile, communication, the website, and financial tracking of the project are coordinated from Barcelona, to ensure transparency and smooth progress at every stage.
This project is carried out in partnership with:
Each of these partners brings an essential piece to the puzzle: the technology, the local roots, and the educational framework that allowed this project to mature since its beginnings.
We are a dedicated team working hand-in-hand with local partners to bring sustainable clean water to 259 families. Your support can transform lives, prevent health crises, and empower an entire community. Together, we can make it flow.
Supply drinking water to every household in the village of Pihimbuwa, SRI LANKA.
