On June 5th, we organized a wine tasting evening to raise funds for our project in Pihimbuwa. It was an opportunity to bring together family, friends, and loved ones around a cause that is particularly close to our hearts and, above all, to have a wonderful time together. For the occasion, we had selected a tasting of several wines, presented and commented on throughout the evening: among them, Mas Rodó, Pasanau, Comte de Valicourt, Celler Cristelles… Each wine was accompanied by a short explanation of its origin, its grape variety and the possible pairings with the dishes served, the idea being to discover the wines in a fun way, without needing to be an expert. The evening was accompanied by a selection of food to complement the tasting: cheeses, charcuterie, tapas… in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Between drinks, we were able to present our Pihimbuwa project to all the guests, explain the progress of our preparations, and answer their questions. The evening also featured a presentation by a member of the Luminor Environmental team, who presented the purification technology offered to the project, as well as a presentation by a teacher from our high school’s BFI program, who spoke about the educational support provided for the project. Thanks to the generosity of all the participants, this evening allowed us to raise money that will directly fund our project. A huge thank you to everyone who was there, and to those who contributed from afar. Every little helps, and thanks to you, we are getting closer to our goal: providing Pihimbuwa with sustainable access to clean drinking water.
